I had the worst case of sciatica since high school (I’m 30).
I moved my entire life in a Uhaul by myself, been going to the gym, and nothing! No pain! My spine was fine.
A month later, I lifted up a box wrong (I think that’s what did it), and I wake up the next morning needing to roll out of my bed and shimmy around to move. Cody and I were shuffling together.
I couldn’t stand up, sit, anything without feeling one of the worst pains in my life (gal bladder issues way back when was the only other terrible pain I’ve ever felt).
I laid in bed for a full day, didn’t help. I tried to go to work the next day and I ended up crying because it hurt so bad after sitting up for 30 minutes. My coworker actually went to Walgreens to get me pain ointments. I was pitiful.
It wasn’t going away on it’s own like most of my pain does.
The chiropractor was only 55$ (x-rays, adjustments, massage). I thought it was going to be wwaaaaaay more. I have insurance, but my deductible is $5,000. My work gives us a health savings account which I’m grateful for. I’ve used it for therapy when I needed it.
Oh, the main doctor is a vegan! They welcomed Cody into the office with no problem. They expanded their practice too. I’m happy for them. I go again Friday.
