I can design and do anything creative, along with talking, but doing routine protocols and talking doesn't sit well with me... unless it's art related. I can yammer about art and birds anytime.
Been putting off hanging out with my super sweet friend because bird and house stuff, but I put my foot down and went on Wednesday (Missed church. I'm sorry God, I still wuv you). I had funs and she beautified my Obitsu dollfie, Calla.
She donated the clothes, wig, eye lashes. Angie is Rarity-pony.
Prior to heading over, I hit up the comic shop where I got the new 52 book 1 Harley Quiin and Birds of Prey graphic novel... that I ended up forgetting at Angie & Bertos. :B
Was it Tuesday or Monday? I picked up a pigeon I'm nicknaming Oreo. Lady went above and beyond to help this pigeon from Miami. He's banded so he's not an ordinary, wild pigeon.
No one wanted to take him in! She got him fixed up so the Wildlife Center couldn't do much with him, one person wanted to give him to his raptor birds. I wouldn't let that happen, not after she did so much for him. He's doing ok with me now. In 2 more weeks, his bandages can come off. I'm going to be looking for pigeon clubs to take him in.
I remember on Tuesday, everyone was dying (4 people I had indirect and direct ties to), including the turkey I sponsored at Gentle Barn. You had a good 4 years of cuddles. It was kind of them to notify me. I am now sponsoring Claire.
Pick up two birds after work on Friday night after enduring drama, didn't get home until 11pm.
SATURDAY, head over first thing in the morning for a vet appointment, was there for 2+ hours, granted, had fun, but still, not home hermiting/recouping/cuddling my bur-burs
Then I helped situate one of the birds with nice adopter/foster. I left with a birdy goody-bag and comfort in knowing this lady sincerely gives a fluff about her birds.
Had to go food shopping, didn't get home until 5pm.
SUNDAY- tend to my birds, go to bird event 1hr north of Ft. Lauderdale. I had lots and lots of fun. I learned a lot, got my mom a handmade birthday present, some bird bowls, enjoyed the educational sessions. I have a goal of putting up a parrot nest box in the back of my house. Oh, and the budgies are going to an aviary in Naples through Bird Gardens :D
Aaaaand I didn't get home until 5:30pm.
MONDAY - I got to loiter at the Vet's (I like it there, but not hermiting/recouping/cuddling my bur-burs=stress). Got some needed Baytril for Mr. Kakapo because the stuff I had that he was taking was passed a month old.
"Will this be Oral or Injection?" Oral, Brett will cry if he has to hurt Mr. Kakapo. (true story)
Picked up little Angel. Angel, being a true clownish conure, blessed us with a grand performance of cute. This made my night. This made me sane again.
After hubby made hummus, I had to clean her big nasteh cage and load it into the car. Brett really wanted to go with me to protect me after all the creepy people have been making their way to me lately. Creepy guy at Publix talks to me while Brett was away from me for 5 minutes. Creepy guy at the Japan-Mart bothered me while I went there by myself... No chances. I attract the strange and unusual, sometimes the good kind, but mostly the bad kind.
Now back to Deerfield area with the cage and the bird for the foster home. On the bright side, I was able to make sure Angel is comfy there, and he was.
I'm grateful for BLC for taking the birds under their umbrella and letting me run around with them. It's just tough. T^T
Most people know I can't say no XD I mean, I can "No, I can't take in another bird because Brett will shoot me and my bur-burs will not get enough cuddles", but I won't say no I can't help with the bird. It will eat me up inside if I don't help in some way and make sure the bird ends up in a safe place.

TUESDAY - I will be picking up 2 cockatiels from the lady who had Joe the Mitred of which is at the Rainforest Clinic... with this adorable, old-man amazon (my favorite) he has arthritis and moves really slow. I'm told he's friendly... I need to find a home for him...!
