Birdy's Day Out

Cody went to Tate's Comics yesterday and got scritch by Tate's (the owner) dad during check-out. Not his first trip there, or my first time taking a bird there. They seem to be animal-loving people. After, we went to Ruby Tuesdays where Cody sat politely between my friend and I in his carrier.

I usually try to be careful when it comes to bringing my bird around where food is present, but you know what? Kids carry more germs and contagious diseases than my birds, and they get into everything!

I never really had a problem taking my birds with me. Most people embrace the cute of a handicapped, little lovebird who wants nothing but a greeting and a cheek-rub.

The only time I ran into an issue was at a Starbucks, but it wasn't terrible. Louie the Amazon was in a pet taxi. He just came from a vet appointment. They guy say sorry, it was policy, and he took my order from outside. Me and Louie enjoyed the nice weather and hung out with peeps who had a golden retriever. Also, not being able to fly or see too well, he was able to hang out on my shoulder, and greet the curious. Of course I got the word out about how awesome senior and handicapped animals can be.

Louie wants a Soy Green Tea Latte
